Dear reader,
We’re so pleased that you found us in the haze of foreign-language websites! We are the English-speaking support group of the Dutch Depression Society (Depressievereniging). If you live in the Netherlands but do not yet speak Dutch (well enough) to join a Dutch-speaking peer support group, you have come to the right place. We meet online every other Tuesday evening (19.30-21.00) for open and heartfelt conversations on depression and its effects, while offering support to each other and sharing laughs as well 🙂
We know all too well that good mental wellbeing can be extra difficult when moving to a new country, with the challenges of having to adjust to a new environment and culture (and the ups and downs of Dutch weather!). Our international group offers a warm and non-judgmental space to explore your experiences and to feel connected and seen.
For more information on how to sign up and on the society in general, you can use the built-in Google translator option to translate the website to English.
Our two group moderators, Annika and Alice, are looking forward to welcoming you to our group!
Please contact [email protected] if you are interested to join.
